the start of saiba

Hoi

This is my first post on Saiba, dated to the first commit on my new website repo.

This also marks the milestone when my homelab got a bit ridiculous & I needed to validate my spending… but in all seriousness this was the catalyst that made me put more time & effort into learning the fullest stack, everything from UI/UX, front end frameworks, middleware, database relationships, network protocols, payload sandboxing, CWE cataloguing, even a light touch of building ransomware.

Building Saiba was the commitment to myself to do things & explain (mostly to myself) why I did it.

This was the start of my venture into open source tooling, using Coolify, Arcane, PatchMon, trying to cosplay a network administrator with segmenting my VLANs, controlling FW policies, enforcing decent PKI practices, the whole DevSecOps kinda vibe (I did this & was successful at landing a DevSecOps role, noice).

From here, it’s just been slopping it with various tools & products that I’ll eventually yap about, including where I think there is gaps for some really niche products, and eventually

Anyway

Saiba is where all my late nights, thoughts, spattering and rambles end up. When I build something, I’ll sometimes make it available here & yap about it here.
